How to pick the perfect tile for your next bathroom renovation.
I really have a thing for tile. Tile can make or break a space, it can elevate your design or it can mute the space. This is why choosing the correct tile and tile combination is so important. Tile is the main subject in your bathroom. Some people think tile is just tile, but not all tiles will work for certain applications. Such as ceramic tiles, should only be used on walls (backsplash or shower walls etc..) but porcelain tile can be installed on the wall and floor.
Nowadays there are so many different tile options and it can easily become overwhelming to choose tile for your bathroom renovation. Below you will find my 3 tips on choosing tile for your bathroom. TIP 1 – Pick a style or mood
One of the first things I get my clients to decide is the style they want to go with Or how they want the space to feel. This will help you select the tile. Different styles or moods will dictate which tiles will work towards the end goal in the space.

TIP 2 – Consider Scale
Don’t feel like you have to go with the traditional tile sizes. Scale can help e
levate the space. Large-scale tile conveys grand, luxury. Where smaller scale tiles say delicate, playful etc. You can even mix tile scales to create a unique space. Choosing a larger tile can also mean minimal grout lines, which for some people means less cleaning!

TIP 3 – Colour or Pattern
Did you know that colour and pattern can manipulate your emotions? Depending on the colour that you select it can make you feel happy, sad, cozy etc. Most people play it safe and go natural but tile is a perfect space to play with colour or even texture. This is is where you can create interest in your space!
